Are they a therapeutic product?

No, and we will not describe them as one. Products licensed for that purpose are a separate category with a registration number and a pharmacy counter behind them. These are sold as what they are: a flavoured pouch with no nicotine in it.

Yes. The whole shop is 21 and over whatever is in the can, and you confirm your age at the gate before any of it is reachable.

What do they taste like?

Like their nicotine counterparts — the flavouring is the same. What is absent is the sting, which in a nicotine can comes partly from the nicotine itself, so a zero-dose mint reads as cooler and cleaner rather than sharper.

Pouches with no nicotine in them

These cans carry no nicotine. Not a reduced dose, not a trace: zero milligrams. Physically they are the same all-white pouch as the rest of the shelf, built from plant fibre and flavouring, in the same formats and the same flavours, and they sit under the lip and behave the same way.

Two reasons account for most of the demand. Some people want the habit without the dose, particularly in the evening. Others alternate them against a nicotine can to stretch one tin further through a day. What this page will not do is present them as a therapeutic product — that is a claim we hold no authorisation to make, and the register that grants it covers a different kind of product entirely.

One thing to know about the labels, because it is confusing and it is not our wording. Several zero-dose cans arrive from upstream marked "Light", because that supplier categorises rows by pouch format rather than by dose. A can holding no nicotine is not a light strength. Every product page here reads the dose itself and prints Nicotine Free, and the filter behind this grid selects on the measured figure rather than on the word, which is why a nicotine can cannot appear in it.

Common questions

Zero milligrams, and the figure on each product page comes from the product data rather than from the front of the tin. That matters here more than anywhere else on the shelf, because a few of these cans are labelled upstream in a way that suggests a low dose rather than none.
