Every ZYN Flavour Sold in Canada, and the Strengths Each One Comes In
33 ZYN flavour families across 79 cans sold in Canada, and which of the 10 strengths from 1.5 to 16.5 mg each one actually comes in β including why there is no mild menthol.

Prices, doses and pouch counts on this page are read from our own catalogue and from the per-can fact sheets we compile, as the shelf stood when this page was last updated. How we research and correct these pages.
The short version. 33 flavour families across 79 ZYN cans sold in Canada, at 10 strengths from 1.5 to 16.5 mg. Menthol, Blackcurrant, Blueberry, Berry, Candy, Cola, Energy Drink, Grape, Guava, Ice Cold, Lychee, Mixed Fruits and Vanilla exist only at 11 mg and above β there is no mild menthol here. Mint is the only family that ladders the whole range. And strength and format are not separate choices: every 9 mg can is slim, 1.5 and 3 mg are almost all mini, and all three fits exist at 6 mg alone.
Every guide to this subject is a ranked top ten, and a ranking cannot answer the question Canadians are actually asking. The useful question is not which flavour is best β that is a matter of taste and a stranger's order of preference is worth very little. It is whether the flavour you have chosen exists at a strength you can use, and in Canada it frequently does not.
The range here runs to 33 flavour families across 79 cans, and they are not evenly spread across the 10 strengths. Menthol starts at 11 mg. Liquorice stops at 9 mg. Mint alone runs from 1.5 mg to 16.5 mg. So this page is a matrix rather than a league table: what each family is, and which strengths it comes in. Choosing a ZYN is one decision made twice, and the second half constrains the first.
Start here, depending on what you already know
- You know the flavour you want. Check the strengths column before anything else. Roughly a third of the families never go mild, and discovering that at the checkout is the common frustration behind this search.
- You know the strength you want. At 1.5β3 mg you are choosing between Mint, Citrus, Cherry, Spearmint, Apple, Licorice, Coffee and Peach. At 13.5 mg and above the list is mostly menthol, blackcurrant and blueberry.
- You want to change one thing at a time. Stay inside mint or citrus. They are the only two families with enough rungs to tell you whether it was the flavour or the strength you disliked β and that is the single most useful habit when you are starting out.
- You want the most discreet pouch. Mini is the smallest fit, and because mini is concentrated at the mild end you are choosing from the lower strengths whether you meant to or not.
Mint is the only family with a full ladder
Eighteen cans, at 1.5, 3, 6, 9, 11, 12.5, 16.5 mg. That makes mint the only family where you can move up or down without also changing what the pouch tastes like β which is the only clean way to work out whether a strength suited you. Spearmint is the sweeter, rounder version of the same idea and ladders nearly as widely.
This is a practical point rather than a recommendation. If you have no idea where to start, starting inside a family with seven rungs means every subsequent adjustment tells you something. Starting inside a family with one rung means your only option is to change flavour as well, and then you have learned nothing about either.
Menthol is a strong-only family, and nobody says so
Every menthol can sold in Canada is 11 mg or above β 11 of them, spanning 11, 12.5, 13.5, 16.5 mg. There is no light menthol. If you want the cold, sharp, slightly numbing version of a pouch, the mildest one available here is already a strong pouch, and somebody reaching for menthol as their first ever pouch is reaching for considerably more than a 3 mg mint.
Blackcurrant and blueberry behave the same way, at 11 and 13.5 mg only. The pattern is worth naming because it is counter-intuitive: the fruit families sound like the gentle end of the range and several of them are the opposite. Strawberry starts at 9 mg.

The fruit families, and where each one stops
Citrus is the broadest of them at 3, 6, 9, 11 mg, and the only fruit family that behaves like mint in letting you pick a strength freely. Cherry and apple ladder well too. After that they narrow quickly β watermelon exists at 6, 11 and 15 mg with nothing in between, and coffee runs 3 to 11 mg, which makes it the one dessert-leaning flavour available genuinely mild.
Then there is a long tail of families at exactly one strength each: guava, lychee, grape, cola, banana, vanilla, candy and an energy-drink flavour among them. Those are worth knowing about precisely because you cannot adjust them. You take the strength the flavour comes in, or you take a different flavour. It is also why they are the ones most often out of stock β a family with one can behind it has one chance to be available, and a single busy week empties it.
Format is the third variable, and it is not free either
Three fits are sold here: slim (50 cans), mini (17) and regular (12). Slim is the long narrow pouch that sits flat under the lip. Mini is noticeably smaller and the most discreet. Regular is wider and shorter and the most present.
The catch is that format tracks strength. Every 9 mg can is slim β all 12 of them. The 1.5 mg and 3 mg cans are almost entirely mini. All three fits exist at 6 mg and at no other strength in the range. So the two decisions every guide presents as independent are tied together, and 6 mg being the one tier where they come apart is a better reason to start there than "it is the middle".

Counted from our own catalogue on 2026-11-02. Stock moves weekly and this table is about what exists in the Canadian range rather than what is on the shelf today β the shelf is the authority on that.
Why your favourite is never in stock
It follows from the shape of the range rather than from anything about demand. A family with one can behind it has one SKU to run out of; mint has eighteen. So the narrow families are both the most interesting and the least reliable, and if availability matters more to you than novelty, the broad families are the answer β mint, citrus, cherry and spearmint between them cover most of the ladder and are rarely all out at once.
How many ZYN flavours are there in Canada?
33 distinct flavour families across the 79 cans sold here, which is considerably more than the ten or so most guides cover. A naive count of the labels returns 39, but that double-counts a spelling variant, counts three variety packs as if they were flavours, and counts one product three times because "Spice" and "Mild Spice" are strength descriptors on the same Cactus Spice can.
What is the mildest ZYN flavour?
Mildest by nicotine is a 1.5 mg mini. Mildest by taste is a different question, and the honest answer is that it depends on whether you find mint or fruit gentler β but note that several fruit families start at 9 or 11 mg, so "mild tasting" and "mild strength" are not the same shortlist.
Is there a menthol ZYN for beginners?
No. Every menthol can in the Canadian range is 11 mg or stronger, so a first pouch in that family would be a strong one. If it is the cold sensation you want rather than the strength, a mint at 3 or 6 mg is the closer match.
Which flavours come in mini?
Mini skews heavily to the mild end β the 1.5 mg and 3 mg cans are almost all mini. If discretion is your priority you are choosing from the lower strengths, and there is no mini at 9 mg or above at all.
Can I get 9 mg in a mini pouch?
No. All 12 of the 9 mg cans are slim. Mini tops out considerably lower.
Do the flavours differ from the United States?
Yes, and the strength ceiling is the larger difference: the range sold here reaches 16.5 mg, well above the American line-up. Several of the families on this page have no American equivalent at all, which is why guides written for that market list a fraction of them.
How current are the figures on this page?
Every count here is read from our catalogue when the page is built rather than typed into a sentence β family counts, strength tiers, format splits and both illustrations. That is deliberate rather than tidy: a transcribed number would be accurate on the day it was written and wrong by the next restock.
